Prof. Stephan Breidbach is an appointed member of the Board of Counsellors "Landesbeirat Digitalisierung" to the Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Jugend und Famlie in Berlin (SenBJF).
Staatliche Europaschule Berlin
Prof. Stephan Breidbach chaired the Board of Councellors for the Implementation of the European Dimension at the Staatliche Europaschule Berlin during its mandate from October 2015 to June 2018.
The public Staatliche Europaschule Berlin responds to the growing need for multilingual education in the city. Starting from first year, children receive bilingual education in various combinations of partner langauges with German.
In a move to highlight the European dimension as a centerpiece of these schools' pedagogic profile, spirit, and identity, the govenment of Berlin introduced a special quality label for schools: Exzellente Europabildung. The label was awarded for the first time to 7 schools in June 2018.
