Kommission für Lehre und Studium (KLS)
The KLS is a platform for the discussion of immediate and long-term concerns related to studying and teaching at the Department of English and American Studies.
What does the KLS do?
- Support the communication between students and staff/faculty about matters of class sizes, program structures, information, student counselling, etc.
- Advance the study programs and regulations (Studien- und Prüfungsordnungen)
- Coordinate the course catalogue published in AGNES (Beschlussvorlage für den Institutsrat)
- Coordinate orientation events for students (e.g., semester kick-off and thesis fair)
- Advance the academic culture (teaching/studying) at the department
- Promote a general feedback culture for courses taught at the department
Who are the KLS?
- The KLS consists of members of the student body (and the student representation FSI) and academic staff/faculty.
