Emma Fawcett teaches applied language courses in the Master of Education and M.A. English Literatures programmes.

She is also working towards a PhD in adult education. Working title: Die Konstruktion von Differenz im Programm der Volkshochschule / The construction of difference in adult education centre programmes.

Junior researcher (wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin) in adult education at the University of Hamburg (2014-2016). Research focus: adult education and inclusion.

Teacher of English (general and business English, 'easy access'/Leichter Lernen, Schule an der VHS) at Volkshochschule Berlin Mitte (2011 – 2016).
