Possibilities of communicative and activating usage of interactive whiteboards in education

More and more classrooms in Berlin are equipped with interactive whiteboards (IWBs), but how can we use the advantages of this new medium? How can we involve the pupils in the utilization of these interactive boards? These questions should be solved within the Q-Tutorial by developing possibilities of a communicative and activating usage of the IWBs. After an introduction into the Smart Board software, the aim will be the development of panels, tasks and exercises for the IWB and their useful inclusion into teaching. The aim is to develop a catalogue of materials and lesson drafts and to develop the ability to evaluate existing teaching materials.

The course is intended for bachelor students, but post graduate students are also invited to apply. The allow ability of this course has to be checked individually, but the course can always be counted as individual specialization. On request, the participants can receive a certificate of attendance.

The participants are expected to show a great willingness to participate in the co-creation of the tutorial. As the number of participants is restricted to 20, students are advised to register early by Email to Ms. Stutzke: silke.stutzke(a)rz.hu-berlin.de
