International Exchange

Incoming European and International Students

Welcome European and international students! Studying at the Humboldt-Universität (and) in Berlin is exciting and rewarding. We are also aware that studying at a German university as a foreign exchange student can be quite a taxing affair. The staff of the Department of English and American studies will do its best to support you.

Erasmus students: For advice within our faculty please refer to Stephanie Trigoudis. For specific questions, don't hesitate to speak to any instructor/professor of the department. If you are looking for more detailed information please refer to the International Office. All advisors with their office hours are listed here. International students: For advice within our department please see PD. Dr. Reinhard Isensee. For specific questions, don't hesitate to speak to any instructor/professor of the department. For questions about other departments or the university as a whole, as well as questions about admission, scholarships etc. please refer to the International Office.

 

 

Outgoing (German) Students

We encourage all students of our department to spend a semester or two abroad. There are more possiblilities to do that than you may think. There are also many possibilities for financing an exchange. If you are interested in an Erasmus exchange with a European partner university please see the Erasmus advisor Stephanie Trigoudis or refer directly to the Erasmus pages of the Philosophische Fakultät II for Outgoings. If you are interested in an exchange with the USA or Canada please talk to PD. Dr. Reinhard Isensee or refer to the pages of the International Office. Please note that most courses you take abroad can be counted towards your degree at the Humboldt-Universität.
