Since the year 2000, I’ve been a Lektorin für besondere Aufgaben here at the Humboldt University, initially teaching students in English and American studies in the Hauptstudium, and now in the MA programs, including MA Education. As a result of my involvement with Teacher Training programs in Massachusetts and Minnesota, I’ve been particularly interested in proficiency-oriented language instruction, including the development and use of effective writing instruction. Other interests include drama in the classroom, the use of creative writing in language instruction, and American politics.
